Al Khawaneej _ Facade of Grandeur

Client: Al Thani Family Villa
Scope: Architectural, Landscape and Interior Design Services

Brief: To create a home for a family that caters for their everyday needs but allows for comfort and privacy.

Design Strategy: The project was approached as an L shaped mass with cantilevered volumes that created setbacks for shading. A travertine wall is projected to become a feature wall both externally and internally. The remaining building is clad in stone with sliding doors opening directly to the swimming pool, thus creating an open plan relationship between inside and outside.
